How many flavors of gourmet popcorn are there? Who thinks up some of these flavors. Now you can get blueberry, kettle corn, caramel corn, cinnamon, hot and spicy and more. I’m still amazed at how many flavor are conjured up.
Now I LOVE popcorn, but my favorite is still butter and popcorn salt. I do indulge in homemade caramel corn and I do like kettle corn when the fair comes to town. When I start to crave it I buy kettle corn on line. It comes in measured packs that are very easy to use. I make it in a crank style stove top popper. Just like being at the fair with out the crowds.
The crank popper makes great popcorn! I think its as fast as microwave and a whole lot better. Plus I can control the amount of salt and butter or any of the other seasonings I put on it. In about three minutes I can crank up a big batch of home made gourmet popcorn that’s fresh, fluffy and a heck of a lot better than that bagged corn that they sell as microwave popcorn. With all of the different seasonings and glazes, I can eat a different flavor each day for more than a month and not eat the same flavor popcorn twice.
The best part is we don’t have to worry about the hazards associated with the chemicals and metals in some microwave popcorn.
