You may wonder what does popcorn and back to school have to do with each other?  Well, when my kids go back to school I have to start figuring out what I should send with them to school as their snack for the day or what to have ready for them to snack on when they come home.  I don’t know about your children but mine act like they are starving as soon as they come walking through that front door!  Of course, the last thing I want them to do is eat a lot and ruin their supper.  So, I have found that popcorn is the Perfect snack! 

Popcorn is a great snack because it is sugar-free.  It is also low in calories and fat if you’re careful what you add to it.  Plus, it is very filling and will tide them over until supper time. 

Popcorn is also a great snack idea because it is very easy to make in the microwave or on the stove-top and can be made ahead of time.  So, I don’t know about you but it’s time for me to get out the popping oil, salt and popcorn and get POPPING!

Yes the 2010 500 year flood did impact us here at Gourmet Popcorn Plus.

Thankfully we did not get any flood damage. Since we are located outside of Nashville on a mountain ridge we were spared. We did lose all phone lines and internet service for a while. It is still sporadic. I think it has a mind of its own.

We are now able to process all popcorn orders and would like to thank the customers that emailed us to see how things were going.

With all of the snow that is covering most of us what better snack to have than popcorn? It’s easy to make, it doesn’t need to be refrigerated, stores for long periods of time( if you don’t eat it like I do) and is good for you too.

Popcorn can be popped with many different methods.

You can make microwave popcorn.

You can pop popcorn over a flame in a fireplace too.
